INFORMATION, POLICIES & FAQ

Dear Senior Students and Parents\Guardians,

We are excited you have signed up to celebrate Grad Nite at Disneyland. Following are some important details for this trip. Your attendance will also require you to complete some forms as well as to review the policies for attending this trip with your class. 

TRIP DETAILS

All attending seniors must arrive no later than 11:30 p.m. PT on June 10, 2022 for check-in, at MSJHS Rear Parking Lot. Departure from the MSJHS Rear Parking Lot will be promptly at 1:00 am PT.

Morning Arrive

Mission San Jose High School (41717 Palm Avenue, Fremont CA 94539)

All attending seniors must arrive no later than the check-in time of 11:30 PM PT on June 10, 2022. Assigned heck-in times to be determined. Check-in will include:

  • Students must present their MSJHS Student ID Card (no other forms of ID will be accepted)
  • All carry-on items will be inspected
  • Appropriate attire will be checked before a student can board the bus (Be sure to review the Dress Code Policy included in this material as there will be NO exceptions)
  • Grad Nite Checklist (print, sign and bring for check-in)

We will depart at 01:00 AM PT sharp. The buses will not wait for late students. We strongly recommend you buddy-up with someone who can call you if you have not arrived by 11:30 PM PT.

ARRIVAL

Arrival time at Disneyland is approximately 08:00 AM PT. Participants will have the option to park hop until 10:00 PM PT at which time the Grads will when then be directed to California Adventure Park for a private Grad Nite Party until 02:00 AM PT.

RETURN

The buses will depart Disneyland around 02:15 AM PT. We will arrive back at the Mission San Jose High School Parking Lot on Sunday, June 12, 2022 around 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Please be prompt in picking up your student.

REGISTRATION, PERMISSION FORMS & WAIVERS (Click here to download all forms)

All Grads are REQUIRED to submit their payment, completed and signed forms due ABSOLUTELY no later than March 15, 2022. You are not registered or guaranteed a seat on the bus until all forms have been verified and payment submitted and cleared. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE SIGNED FORMS. ALL FORMS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS PACKAGE.

CHAPERONES

This is a chaperoned event. Chaperones will not be responsible for any personal items that are brought on the trip, such as cell phones, iPods, cameras, or confiscated items. 

CHECK-IN TIMES

There will be at least two (2) student/chaperone check in times during the trip. They will most likely occur around 2:00 PM and 8:30 PM, upon arriving for the private event at California Adventure Park.

BUS CHOICE

We plan to have a total of 6 buses with 56 students per bus. Students will sign up for a specific bus so they can travel with their friends. Students may not sign up for each other, you can only sign up for yourself. If a student does not sign up for a bus by March 15th, the assignment will be made by the Grad Nite Chairs.

SAFE & SOBER GRAD NITE

Grads will not be permitted to bring ANY beverages (including water), food, candy or gum on the bus. Water & snacks will be provided on the buses. Empty shatter-proof water bottles are allowed. There are restaurants available at one of the bus stops for students to purchase breakfast or meals may be purchased inside the parks. Prescription medications must be in their original packaging with dosing information and student’s name on label. Over-the-counter medications must be in their original manufacturer sealed packages. Only medicines noted on the Medication Form will be allowed on the bus.

DISNEYLAND DRESS CODE/ATTENDANCE

Dress code information is included in this packet. We assume no responsibility for any Grad not meeting the dress code and being denied on the bus or admittance to the Park. If you are not dressed appropriately, according to the Dress Code in this packet or do not have your MSJHS issued photo ID, you will not be able to board the bus and you will forfeit all monies paid for this event.

CONDUCT RULES

Carefully review the Conduct Rules on the GRAD NITE PERMISSION SLIP and the DISNEYLAND GRAD NITE BEHAVIOR POLICY. Students must abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the trip chaperones, bus companies, Peninsula Tours, restaurants, Disneyland, California Adventure, etc. If any of these rules are broken, the participant may be sent home at his/her own expense, without refund. If the participant is sent home, the parent or legal guardian will arrange for transportation home at their own expense. Parents or guardians will reimburse MSJHS MPPFA for any expenses (hotel, transportation, etc.) incurred by MPPFA chaperones as a result of their student being sent home due to violation of the conduct rules.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

If the participant experiences a medical emergency and is unable to take the bus ride back to Fremont, a chaperone will remain with the participant until he/she is released to his/her parent or guardian. Parents or guardians will reimburse MSJHS MPPFA for any expenses (hotel, transportation, etc.) incurred by MPPFA chaperones as a result of the medical emergency. 

Our objective is to make the trip enjoyable and memorable for the Mission San Jose High School graduating class of 2022. Please help us accomplish this by turning in your forms and payments in a timely manner. Failure to meet deadlines may result in forfeiting your ticket and not be allowed to choose your bus.
