MPPFA 2019 election

Dear MPPFA Community,
We will be holding our election on Wednesday, May 22nd. This year’s election will be operating under the following timeline.

Election Timeline

– Monday April 29th – Nomination submission deadline (10 p.m. PDT)

– Monday May 6th – Announce ratified candidate list to MPPFA community

– Wednesday May 22nd – Cast votes in person

– Saturday May 25th – Announce election results

– Wednesday May 29th – Confirm new executive board members and committee chairs at MPPFA meeting

We have three executive board positions and ten committee chair positions this year that need to be filled with volunteers who have a strong desire to serve our Mission San Jose High School community and make our school better for our students.

All nominations must be received by 10 p.m. PDT, Monday April 29th, 2019. Please submit nomination as early as possible in order to give the nomination committee enough time to review and process your nomination.

Please note that the candidate qualifications are defined below as per our current bylaws.

Any MPPFA member who holds a regular or transition membership as defined by MPPFA Bylaw and meet the qualification requirement of a position can be nominated as candidate for the position. Regular Membership shall consist of all students currently attending Mission San Jose High School, their parents and/or guardians and the staff of Mission San Jose High School.Transitioning membership shall consist of all students and parents and/or guardians of incoming 9th graders enrolled at Mission San Jose High School.

In addition, a nominee for position of MPPFA Executive Board must have served as an MPPFA committee chair or Executive Board member for at least one year in past 8 years. This rule will be waived for a particular position if there isn’t any qualified nominee for this position.
